Procedure

Aeroplane:

In accordance with FCL.945, it is now, under specified conditions, possible for FI(A) (not restricted to LAPL) and CRI(A) to extend SEP(land), SEP(sea) and TMG ratings for applicants fulfilling the requirements outlined in FCL.740.A(b)(1), and after completion of the training flight.

The privilege to extend mentioned ratings can only be obtained once the FI(A) (not restricted to LAPL) or CRI(A) has completed the “FCL.945 Handbook” and has filed the Application Form – FCL.945 Authorization, which must be recognized by the DCARA before privileges can be exercised.

Recognition of the acquired privilege will be published on this page.

Only FI(A) (not restricted to LAPL) and CRI(A) listed are authorized to exercise the FCL.945 privilege.

Helicopter:

In accordance with FCL.945, it is now, under specified conditions, possible for instructors(H) (not restricted to LAPL) to extend type ratings on SEP helicopters up to a maximum take-off mass of 3 175 kg and SET helicopters with a maximum certified take-off mass up to 3 175 kg, for applicants fulfilling the requirements outlined in FCL.740.H, and after completion of the training flight.

The privilege to extend mentioned ratings can only be obtained once the instructor(H) (not restricted to LAPL)  has completed the “FCL.945 Handbook” and has filed the Application Form – FCL.945 Authorization, which must be recognized by the DCARA before privileges can be exercised.
