Requirements

Instructors FCL.900.c

 Issuance

To obtain Instructor privileges under FCL.900.c, applicants must:

  1. Hold a valid ICAO licence (minimum CPL).
  2. Meet PART-FCL requirements for the relevant Instructor privileges being applied for.
  3. Complete the appropriate Instructor course at an EASA-approved ATO.
  4. Successfully pass an Assessment of Competence, conducted by either:
    • A Danish-certified Examiner
    • A TS-appointed Examiner

Required Documentation for Initial Issuance

Following training and assessment, the applicant must submit the following to Trafikstyrelsen:

  • Valid identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport)
  • ATO approval certificate
  • Course completion certificate (or equivalent proof of training)
  • Valid licence and medical certificate (if applicable)
  • Instructor Assessment of Competence form
  • Proficiency check form (if applicable)
  • Any additional documentation required as per the latest version of the "Examiner Differences Document" (Sections 2.4.1 and 2.4.2)

Revalidation

Revalidation of FCL.900.c instructor privileges follows PART-FCL Subpart J.

Use the "Instructor Revalidation and Renewal" form for revalidation.

Renewal

If an instructor’s privileges have expired, PART-FCL Subpart J renewal requirements must be met.

Required documentation for revalidation or renewal:

  • Applicant’s licence, certificate, and medical (if applicable)
  • Assessment of Competence form (if required)
  • Revalidation and Renewal Instructor Privileges form, including all supporting documents
  • Any additional documentation required as per the latest version of the "Examiner Differences Document" (Sections 2.4.1 and 2.4.2)

Instructors already holding an EASA FCL.900.c privilege issued by another EASA member state will be granted Danish FCL.900.c privileges without further requirements.

Examiners – FCL.1000.c

Issuance

The issuance of FCL.1000.c examiner privileges follows this procedure.

Applicants must:

  1. Meet the requirements outlined in FCL.1000 Examiner Certificates (c).
  2. Participate in an Examiner Standardization Course, held or approved by Trafikstyrelsen.
  3. Successfully pass an Assessment of Competence, conducted by a Danish Inspector.

The Examiner Seminar provided by Trafikstyrelsen may be conducted in a third country.

Revalidation & Renewal

The process for revalidating or renewing FCL.1000.c examiner privileges is identical to that of FCL.1000.a, including:

  • Participation in a Danish-held Examiner seminar
  • Assessment of Competence conducted by a Danish-certified Senior Examiner qualified for this evaluation

Examiners already holding an EASA FCL.1000.c privilege issued by another EASA member state, will receive Danish-issued FCL.1000.c privileges without additional requirements.

 Fees

  • Examiner seminars conducted by Trafikstyrelsen outside Denmark: Fees will be agreed upon with the Authority, but generally follow Table 1A1.
  • Examiner Assessments: Fees follow Table 4A5 – FEE.

Senior Examiners

Issuance

Training organizations outside EASA countries may be granted internal FCL.1000.c Senior Examiners, restricted to performing Examiner assessments for revalidation and renewal of Examiner privileges.

  • As of January 1, 2021, individual FCL.1000.c Examiners may also apply for Senior Examiner privileges.
  • Important: If an applicant later transfers their State of Licence Issue (SOLI) to Denmark, Senior Examiner privileges will not be transferred and will remain restricted to non-EASA member states.
  • Senior Examiners restricted to FCL.1000.c must meet the experience requirements outlined in the Senior Examiner procedure.

Required training includes:

  • Participation in the Danish Examiner Seminar
  • Briefing with a Danish Inspector
  • Minimum 1 oversight/assessment in the role of Examiner/Senior Examiner

Recurrent Requirements

All FCL.1000.c Senior Examiners must:

  1. Attend an annual standardization briefing with Trafikstyrelsen (virtual or in-person).
  2. Complete two oversights/assessments within the validity period, conducted by an Danish Inspector.
    • One of these assessments will be used for revalidation of Examiner privileges.

This standardization ensures the same level of compliance as FCL.1000.a Senior Examiners.

All fees and expenses for these standardization measures must be covered by the Senior Examiner.
