ARA.FCL.205 Monitoring of Examiners requires that the competent authority develops procedures to designate examiners for conducting skill tests.
The Danish Civil Aviation Authority has implemented the following procedure:
- Designation of Examiners for SET(A) Skill Tests:
- For all skill tests related to the issuance of single-engine turbine (SET) type ratings, the Danish Authority will designate an examiner for each specific test.
- Notification Requirements:
- Approved Training Organizations (ATOs) must notify the Danish Authority of upcoming SET skill tests according to the procedures outlined in the "Booking and Notification" section on examiner.dk and EDD 2.4.1.
- The notification must include:
- The expected/actual amount of training (flight training).
- The ATO's preferred examiner for the test.
- Response from the Danish Authority:
- The Danish Authority will review the notification and provide confirmation of the designated examiner for the test.
- If necessary, the Authority may make adjustments to the date or time of the test.
- Recommendation for Efficient Coordination:
- To facilitate approval of the requested examiner or to appoint an alternative examiner, it is strongly recommended that the ATO submits the notification:
- During regular office hours on working days.
- As early as possible to allow sufficient time for coordination.
This procedure ensures compliance with ARA.FCL.205 and promotes a structured and transparent process for the designation of examiners.
