ARA.FCL.205(c) Monitoring of Examiners requires that the competent authority establishes procedures for the designation of examiners for the conduct of skill tests.
The Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority (Trafikstyrelsen) has implemented the following procedure:
- Notification and Proposal of Examiner:
- When a Danish Approved Training Organisation (ATO) or Declared Training Organisation (DTO) notifies Trafikstyrelsen of an upcoming skill test, the ATO or DTO may propose an appropriately qualified examiner to conduct the test.
- Designation of Another Examiner:
- For selected skill tests, Trafikstyrelsen may designate another examiner to conduct the test instead of the examiner proposed by the ATO or DTO.
- Notification of the Designation:
- If Trafikstyrelsen decides to designate another examiner, the ATO or DTO and the proposed examiner will be informed as soon as possible.
- Use of the Proposed Examiner:
- Where Trafikstyrelsen does not designate another examiner, the skill test may be conducted by the examiner proposed by the ATO or DTO, provided that the examiner meets all applicable requirements.
This procedure ensures compliance with ARA.FCL.205(c) and provides a structured process for the designation of examiners for skill tests.
